Sicily Yacht Charter

Looking for assistance with booking a Sicily yacht charter? Charter World are experienced Sicily sailing holiday specialists.

About Sicily - an ideal Sailing Holiday Destination

Sicily is famous for Mount Etna, which towers above a wealth of historic and art treasures and some of the most striking landscapes in the world. It is also surrounded by islands and islets offering even more attractions for those visiting aboard a Sicily bareboat charter. Every visit offers a new world to explore and a fascinating encounter with wonders of wild, untouched nature, far from traditional tourist paths.

All the neighbouring islands retain their charm. Depart Palermo, heading east after a swim at the magnificent beach of Cefalù, a few hours of relaxed sailing will take you to the rugged volcanic islands of Salina, Lipari and Vulcano, in the north-eastern part of the island, or westward to the Egadi islands.

Cuisine

Specialities in Sicilian cuisine centre around seafood, vegetables such as the aubergine and beans and sweets. There are however a few typical Sicilian meat dishes such as involtini alla Siciliana: slices of meat rolled around fillings of ham, salami, cheese, breadcrumbs and onions and cooked over charcoal. Tuna and swordfish are caught off the coasts of Sicily and swordfish steaks sprinkled with lemon, capers and herbs and cooked over a charcoal grill.
