Below is a suggested itinerary for your sailing holiday in Greece.
| DAY 1 |
BOARD yacht 1900 hrs Kalamaki Marina for briefing and inventory check. Enjoy your first night afloat in the marina or try your first Greek salad at a nearby taverna.
OVERNIGHT - KALAMAKI (ATHENS) |
| DAY 2 |
DEPART Kalamaki Marina for first downwind sail down the Apollo Coast passing Lagonissi and Vouliagmeni to Sounioun. The Temple on the Cape is conspicuous from the distance. Dine in the local Taverna and visit the Temple of Poseidon (built around 444 BC) in the late afternoon. (approx. 28 miles)

| DAY 3 |
TO the craggy and mountainous island which is Kea. Ayios Nicolaos is the main port and offers a variety of restaurants and shopping. (approx. 15 miles)

| DAY 4 |
TO SIROS, a hilly and mostly barren island which was originally the capital of all the Cyclades. The buildings around the harbour reflect the past power and glory, although it is not only a sleepy village port. (approx. 35 miles)

| DAY 5 |
AFTERNOON sail to Mykonos. Known as the tourist mecca of Greece, the main township offers all of the hustle and bustle of a cosmopolitan city. Enjoy watching the foreshore activities from the cockpit of your yacht on the main quay. (approx. 25 miles)

SPEND a day ashore exploring the island.

AN early morning sail to Delos. Delos was once the political and religious centre of the ancient world. Legend has it that Apollo was born here and Artemis on nearby Rhinia. Explore ancient Delos and later drop anchor in this superb anchorage. (approx. 5 miles)

| DAY 8 |
HEAD southeast for Dhenoussa, a small high island lying nine miles off the east coast of Naxos. A choice of three overnight anchorages with none of the trappings of the larger islands. Enjoy a night aboard. (approx. 35 miles)

| DAY 9 |
TO Patmos. Depart the Dodecanese to the Cyclades twelve island group. Hire a motor bike and visit the monastery of St John. Good shopping and restaurants abound around the harbour. (approx. 45 miles)

Day at leisure to explore this fascinating island.

TO KALYMNOS - home of the Kalimniot sponge divers. A busy and industrious port with a full range of service facilities. (approx. 40 miles)

| DAY 12 |
DIRECTLY south, the island of Kos. The father of modern medicine Hippocrates lived here and wrote the Hippocratic Oath. A mixture of Turkish and Italian architecture among the white washed Greek buildings remind us of the varied history of Kos. (approx. 20 miles)

| DAY 13 |
SIMI is one of the most picturesque harbours in the Aegean. The muted blue, amber cream and rose hued houses have build one upon the other up the steep sides of the inlet, like a child's building block version of a town. (approx. 50 miles)

TO Rhodes, the largest island of the Dodecanese very much a tourist capital, the contract of old and new town gives this island a very unique flavour. (approx. 30 miles)

DISEMBARK yacht 0900 hrs at Mandraki Marina for early morning departure. |
