Why Choose a Yacht Charter Holiday in Croatia
Croatia is our most popular charter destination in the Mediterranean and for good reason.

The Adriatic coastline with its clear seas, gentle summer climate, quaint villages and historic towns, is a magnificent cruising area. The 5000km long coastline is sheltered by chains of the 700 islands, amongst which there are many anchorages and harbours.

You do not have to be a yachtie to enjoy a yacht charter holiday in Croatia. Your floating apartment can transport you from one Taverna to the next, where you can stop ashore and enjoy quality meals at bargain prices.

For those who like to sail long distances, it is possible to do one ways from Split to Dubrovnik or Pula to Split, each night enjoy a different island, port or village.

The Cruising Waters/ Conditions
Next to Sweden, Croatia has the most heavily indented coastline in Europe with literally thousands of protected anchorages spanning 400 kilometres of islands and coast.

The best cruising for first time bareboat or gulet charter, is a little North and South of Split. Islands of Brac, Hvar, Korcular and Vis are not to be missed.

May to September provide excellent sailing conditions for a yacht charter holiday in Croatia, with July and August the warmest months however not too hot with temperatures rarely exceeding 35 degrees Celsius. No tides or currents and 5-20 breezes are the norm with relatively calm seas. If it gets a little bumpy in Croatia, you are rarely more than 30 minutes from a flat calm harbor or anchorage.

Getting There
Flights with most international carriers to Frankfurt or Rome, with an extra flight required to reach split or Dubrovnik. Operators such as Easy Jet, can also offer direct services from most European capitals to Split or Dubrovnik airports.

Local Cuisine

Fish, shellfish and seafood, lamb pre-seasoned and roasted in Cres, smoked Dalmatian ham and sheep cheese, stuckie pastry and excellent local wines: Postup, Plavac, Dingac and Muscat.

Yachts Available/ Bases

Bareboats include all major Marques, Bavaria, Elan, Jeanneau, Beneteau, Hanse and Lagoon Catamarans. A growing number of quality gulets and a range of motor cruisers such as Sunseeker and Princess through to Mega Yachts from Split, Dubrovnik, Sibenik, Pula and bases in between.

Yacht Charter Holidays Croatia

We are happy to create a personal Itinerary for your charter booking.

“Our group of eleven hired two Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 42i out of Split, Croatia. We would certainly recommend sailing the Dalmatian Coast as a great holiday experience to those who wish to combine bareboat yacht chartering with tourism in a friendly and historically rich environment. The sailing and navigation was not arduous (in fact, most days we wished for a little more wind) but this was compensated for by evenings spent in delightful coves and harbours with good on-shore facilities and eating places.”
