Why Choose a Yacht Charter Holiday in Tahiti
For the history and romance alone, Tahiti is a place you must get to at least once in a lifetime. Raiatea, Huahine and Bora Bora are names and images which have become synonymous with paradise. Set in the middle of the vast Pacific, this peace of France offers pristine natural beauty and 5 star luxury, when visiting one of the many resorts. With an overwater bungalow costing a minimum $1500- $2000 per night, a catamaran charter is superior in almost every way.

The Cruising Waters/ Conditions
All three islands of Raiatea, Huahine and Bora Bora have well defined and marked channels around the Islands and inside the surrounding reef. The islands are approximately 20 miles apart from each other and the passes to exit and enter the reefs large and easy to navigate (many are ship size). Once inside the reef there is no swell or tidal in influences, so flat water calm conditions.

April to November, encompass the best sailing conditions, with south-easterly trade winds of 10-15 knots providing excellent sailing conditions.

Getting There
Air New Zealand via Auckland from most Australian cities. Air Tahiti Nai also fly to Papeete from Auckland. A 45 minute flight onwards to Raiatea by Air Tahiti is required to reach the base (5 minutes from the airport).

Local Cuisine 


Tahiti offers a wide variety of quality French fare, as well as Polynesian influences. The dining atmosphere at the Bora Bora yacht club is unique: and an experience not to be missed. Fresh grilled fish, fine French wines and fresh baguettes.

Mostly bareboat catamarans from Lagoon 380’s, to the large six cabin Catana 55, as well as a very small number of monohulls (3 in total), crewed motor yachts and by the cabin Fountaine Pajot Eleuthera 60’. All based in Raiatea in the Society Islands and also in the Marquises.
