Asian Options (Koh Chang – Koh Samui)
Phuket and Langkawi continue to attract many of our charterers who have experienced the Pacific and Mediterranean but have tended to pass these great charter destinations by.
Perhaps one of the reasons that these have not been traditionally as popular is that the very best times to visit Phuket and Langkawi are when our weather is best here being November through to March.
Australians understandably tend to book holidays to escape the winter season – this is when the lesser known Koh Chang and Koh Samui actually do experience their best weather.
Koh Chang is a very interesting option which is the least touristy and more traditional part of Thailand with many National Parks and no major marinas or restaurants in the main cruising area.
Quaint fishing villages, banana and coconut plantations but also excellent small restaurants are available at many protected anchorages across the cruising area. See link to Thailand charters.
Catamarans up to 41’ and Monohulls up to 54’ available for bareboat – at very reasonable rates.
